Wow…I am behind on my blogging.
About a month ago I got to meet one of my good friend’s newborn baby girl. Meet Caroline Jane! I was super excited to photograph her for many reasons, but one of them was that she was only 4 days old. I’m thinking, “she’s gonna be so sleepy and squishy…this will be easy!”. Ummm, not so much. This little thing was WIDE awake the entire time and just wanted to stretch her legs. Forget all my cute newborn props I brought, she wasn’t having any of them. Not that she cried…she just wouldn’t squish up and fit! One thing I’ve learned with photography, especially newborn photography, is you gotta just role with things. I think they still turned out beautiful. 🙂
Jessica is a super knitter. She made the little cocoon and hat.
Seriously, 4 day old newborns are not supposed to be that alert.
Caroline’s little piggies. 🙂
See…this baby was not going to sleep.
Jessica made these pants too. I love how Caroline has her hand under her chin. Haha.
I think she cried for maybe 5 seconds. That was it…but at least I got this shot.
I am in love with this last series. Big brother, Harper, wasn’t coached at all. He just wanted to love on Caroline.
Congratulations Jessica and Jeremy. Caroline is beautiful!
A few weeks ago I photographed Caroline and Fletcher (and their parents) for some Christmas pictures. What a couple of cuties! Caroline is in my mom’s preschool class and just adorable. Check out her dimples! Fletcher is a character. I’ve never seen a little toddler able to sit still and hold a smile for a camera like he did. I know my parents were lucky to get any pictures of me, and half of them are either me running away or putting my dress over my head. 😉
I think this one is the winner.
Mother and daughter. 🙂
Caroline wanted a picture with the planter she made.
More to come!
Last July I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Brian and Susanna’s wedding. It’s crazy…they are my brother’s age! Which really isn’t that crazy considering he just got engaged. Man, I’m getting old.
But I digress…
The ceremony could not have been more beautiful, and Brian and Susanna could not have been more in love. Seriously, the love just radiated from their faces. Congrats you guys! I know you will both have a wonderful marriage.
This was one of the first pictures I shot. Thanks, Leah, for making this face.
Now for some fun outdoors pictures. 🙂
Erin and Justin did things a little different with their wedding festivities. They had a morning wedding, then had a nice long break until their reception started in the early evening. And what a reception it was! Lots of bright colors, complete with a candy bar! It was beautiful. I had so much fun watching everyone celebrate the marriage of two people completely in love. Thanks for letting me be a part of this, Erin and Justin!
The candy bar!
Okay, one more candy bar picture.
Erin and Justin arrive in an awesome Camaro!
After their first dance I grabbed Erin and Justin for some pics with the Camaro.
I love everything about this picture.
Erin’s dad got the party started.
More to come!
