One of the benefits of having a husband who works for a huge landscape company is sometimes you can come across free plants. And SOMETIMES you can come across free trees! The Paperbark Maple is one of my favorite trees. The beautiful cinnamon colored exfoliating bark is incredible.
Feel like all my posts are plant oriented lately? Well, that’s because they are. This is the time of year where I live outside with plants. However this weekend I’ll be going to TN for a couple shoots. Can’t wait!
This happens every year…
I LOVE Spring. The air is warmer, sweeter, and new. Before I did landscaping, I never really paid attention to the little ques that Spring was around the corner. I mean, I saw the Cherry and Magnolia trees, but the subtle signs…no. In the very first plant ID class I took we learned about Red Maples. I had no idea that they had a flower. In fact, it is one of the first signs of Spring. So now, everytime I’m driving about, and I see these little red flowers I get a little giddy…because, boy do I love Spring.
I’ve been itching to take pictures of my neighbor, Taylor, for awhile now. This girl always looks cute…seriously. So I got her out of bed for an early morning shoot in the rain.
