I am so honored to have been able to photograph Kendrah and Chris’s New Year’s Day wedding. These two have been through so much in the past year. You may remember them from the Cherubs shoot I did back in June when Kendrah was pregnant with litle Oz. Tragically, Oz lost his battle with CDH only hours after he was born. I then witnessed the most selfless act I’ve ever seen when Kendrah asked me to photograph Oz’s memorial service so that the photographs could be used in the Cherubs awareness campaign. So when Kendrah told me she and Chris were getting married there was no way I was going to miss it. I LOVED their intimate ceremony. It was held the same place we did the Cherubs shoot, which almost gave it a haunting vibe. Not in a scary way…you could just feel Oz’s presence all around us. It was truly beautiful. 🙂
Butterflies were all around, despite the snow on the ground.
Wedding this way.
Kendrah used lanterns instead of flowers. So creative!
Oz watched from the front of the ceremony.
As soon as the ceremony started it began raining (good luck, right). Space was tight, so I wasn’t able to move around like I normally would. Didn’t matter, though. I got some really sweet close ups.
A ‘just married’ high five. 🙂
Now for some artsy photos. Kendrah’s style couldn’t have gone better with the scenery. There was a fog that lingered on the water that made the shots more dramatic.
Nice face, Chris. Bump her forehead too hard?
Check out Kendrah’s tights!
One of the groomsmen being insprired by the scenery…and the lanterns.
We did an impromtu ‘awkward prom’ photo session.
Love the drama. 🙂
Congrats Kendrah and Chris!
Back in August (wow, where has time gone?) I photographed Jessica and Joey’s beautiful wedding in Charlotte. I met with them back in June, and I was near giddy once I heard that their wedding had a vintage theme. I looked forward to it for months. Little did I know I would be 8 weeks pregnant and battling some awesome morning sickness. I managed to hold everything down and got to witness the incredible love that Jessica and Joey have for one another. They were adorable. I am so blessed to have been a part of it. Congrats you two!

Fun with props!
I love this last series of shots.
Last month I photographed the sweetest, most intimate little wedding ceremony. I know there’s a lot of hoopla about big weddings, but it doesn’t get much better than marrying the person you love under a willow tree. I’ve been ‘documenting’ Zach and Jenny for the past 6 months. I did Jenny’s maternity shoot, Annabelle’s newborn shoot, and now I had the honor of photographing their wedding. It was just Zach, Jenny, Annabelle, and Jenny’s friend as a bridesmaid. There was pretty much zero stress. It could not have been sweeter. I’m so happy for you two!
The ringbearer. 🙂
Last July I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Brian and Susanna’s wedding. It’s crazy…they are my brother’s age! Which really isn’t that crazy considering he just got engaged. Man, I’m getting old.
But I digress…
The ceremony could not have been more beautiful, and Brian and Susanna could not have been more in love. Seriously, the love just radiated from their faces. Congrats you guys! I know you will both have a wonderful marriage.
This was one of the first pictures I shot. Thanks, Leah, for making this face.
Now for some fun outdoors pictures. 🙂
